That’s what we purpose at the House Of Hope, Women Seeking Change. “We challenge ourselves to go back to the original plan”. Failures, set backs and mistakes don’t count they’re just stepping stones on the path to our destiny.
House of Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to help women re-entering communities after incarceration, homelessness or weary from life’s challenges. Our purpose is to break recidivism in a crisis and build healthy habits and homes.
Our Mission is to help women become self-sufficient and productive through education, resource networking, and after-care services to support their continued growth toward sustaining self-sufficiency.

Our programs and services are built on four basic principles:
- Holistic – recapturing self-worth through affirmation and application.
- Option – referring the client to choose the next step to reach higher self awareness.
- Promote – to further advance and contribute to growth in a therapeutic environment.
- Education – the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction while training.

“Bring Hope to Women in the Cleveland Community”. Every day, NYCB family members demonstrate that “community” is more than a part of our company name, it’s a commitment! In Cleveland, Ohio Patricia Billingsley, IT Division Project Portfolio Manager, is a regular volunteer at the House of Hope, a local organization that provides assistance to women in a time of need. Virginia Dowdell Educational Award
Awards Program Description
“The Virginia Dowdell Education Award” was established as a legacy to commemorate the founder’s grandmother’s passion in the community. Our graduates who meet the requirements, are given the opportunity to pursue higher education through our tuition assistance program. This award will ensure the recipient’s opportunity in the market place and give them the confidence to pursue their dreams. The Virginia Dowdell Educational Award was started to support the graduates of our After Care Program. The award recipient must complete the entire After Care Program, accumulate 20 hours of volunteer service, and enroll in an approved educational program.

100 for $100 Is a great opportunity to support those in need, everyone knows someone who needed help and maybe you couldn’t help then but, you can help now!
You can participate as, an individual, a group, a church or a corporation to raise a $100.00. There are many ways to achieve this, be creative all monies given are tax- deductible.
The goal is to get 100 individuals or organizations to commit to donate $100 which will be used for the operating expenses of House of Hope, Women Seeking Change.
